Introduction

A total of 281 consumer complaints relating to telecommunications services were recorded by the Federal Communications Commission on 20 August 2017, this was lower than the 519 complaints recorded the previous day. Complaints were reported across 42 states and territories, and California generated the highest number of submissions with 50 complaints. Unwanted Calls was the most frequently reported issue, with 122 complaints recorded.
